This was a summer internship opportunity through Sacramento State for college students. My duties included but were not limited to making copies, organizing the file room, answering phones, and handling subpoenas. 

 

YLHS Softball Assistant Coach​

February 2020-March 2020 

 

I was the Yorba Linda High School Junior Varsity assistant coach for softball until COVID-19 impacted high school sports.

Student Teacher: Brywood Elementary (Irvine) and Melrose Elementary (Placentia)

January 2021-December 2021

Co-planned with my mentor teachers to provide quality education to students while learning how to effectively run a classroom and provide top-level instruction for all students.

Resident Substitute: Melrose Elementary (Placentia)

December 2021-March 2022

My duties included filling in for teacher vacancies at various school sites and assisting classroom teachers with any support necessary.

 

Long-Term Substitute: Melrose Elementary (Placentia)

March 2022-June 2023

I have taken on the role of a classroom teacher in a first-grade setting. I have effectively co-planned with the first-grade team and provided quality instruction for optimum learning for every student.

Academic Support Teacher: Morse Elementary (Placentia)

August 2023-Current

The objective of my position is targeted small-group instruction to raise performance in math achievement. I work with first through sixth-grade students to support their math skills and close the achievement gap. Additionally, I provide support in a TK classroom to provide additional exposure to academic content to allow equitable opportunities for all students. 

 

Volunteer Experience or Leadership​

 

I was a member of LSSA (Liberal Studies Student Association) at Cal State Fullerton during my undergraduate studies. I was the block representative for Club Teach during my graduate studies. My duties were collaborating with other board members to plan events for the club and relay any vital information to my block members. I also have volunteered for the Placentia-Yorba Linda Girls Softball Association (PYLGSA) working the snack shack and ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the fields.
